I am an older runner suffering with chronic Achilles' tendinitis and traditional medicine was not helping. I just wasn't healing. After some online research I learned that acupuncture was
effective in treating the Achilles. It doesn't actually heal it directly, but increases blood flow to the area, allowing the body to heal itself. I decided to give it a try. The results were
amazing. My foot started to feel better within a few days, and I was able to ramp up to run a half marathon while my foot was healing, feeling better all the time. Kathleen did a

Love!! I fell in love with community acupuncture on a recent trip to California. To be honest, initially I thought the community setting was just an inconvenience I'd have to put up with to find
a reasonable priced acupuncturist. But, the practice of community acupuncture really grew on me. I think so many times we feel isolated in our health struggles, and laying all alone in a
Dr's cubicle kind of compounds that alone feeling. When I'm in a treatment room with others, even though we don't interact, it's soothing to know that I'm part of a community seeking to

I've used Kathleen's acupuncture center twice in the past year to help with migraines. I rarely get headaches or migraines, but when I do, they last around 36 hours and I don't respond to the
medication. It was a relief to find an alternative treatment to alleviate the symptoms. Her treatment area is relaxing with dim lighting, recliners, and the sound of beach waves

I finally got up the nerve to pursue acupuncture treatment for my shoulder and wrist pain and chose Beachside Community Acupuncture, based on reviews on Yelp and Google. I appreciate the fact
that it is made affordable by Kathleen. Being my first experience, I didn't know what to expect, but upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised at the clinic environment. I liked the "community"
setting, where there are several recliners in a room decorated with beach scenes along with relaxing ocean wave background sound. Kathleen has a very precise and gentle technique when inserting
the acupuncture needles. I didn't expect them to be so fine! I never felt pain or discomfort in any way. The hour session was extremely relaxing and although I wish I could say
that my pain was eliminated, I did feel some relief. I plan on several more visits to keep driving the pain away. Kathleen knows her craft and is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend visiting

Found this little gem tucked away in Addison a couple of days ago. Kathleen was awesome from start to finish. Since it was my first time there, she took a very thorough medical history and asked
me several questions. This was all to get the best treatment possible. Once that is completed you go into a large room where other patients are to receive your treatment. The room is very quiet
with the lights lowered, and with calming music in the background. Everyone is very respectful as far as being quiet. It's recommended that once the needles are in to stay put for about an hour.
It was actually peaceful to sit there with no worries and have time to myself. It actually allowed me to have a big emotional release which I what I have needed for the longest.
The pricing is more than reasonable. I definitely want to go back again and keep going with the treatments. -T.L.
