What do you do when you first wake up? More specifically, what do you eat and/or drink?
Through the night we lose water as we breathe, which means we can start the day off a bit dehydrated. Having at least a glass of water as soon as you wake up replenishes that lost water and gives your cells the hydration they need to function. Room temperature or slightly warm water is your best bet. In Chinese Medicine, the main digestive organ (the Spleen) likes to be warm, so downing a cup of cold water is a bit of a shock. If you'd like to add a gentle cleanse to this routine, try a little bit of squeezed lemon to the warm water as well.
Do this each day for a week or two and see how you feel!
